As a leathercrafter, I’m always on the lookout for tools that can make my workflow faster, cleaner, and more creative. It's because of this that I've been using a variety of Laser Cutters over the last few years, the latest being the WeCreat Vision Pro —a 45W enclosed diode laser cutter and engraver that’s looking to stand tall beside offerings from XTool and Creality.
After putting it to work in my shop, here’s a detailed look at what it offers, how it compares to both the original WeCreat Vision and its main rivals, the xTool S1 40W, and the Creality Falcon2 Pro 60W, and whether it deserves a spot in Your Creative Space.
The WeCreat Vision Pro arrives fully enclosed, and mostly pre-assembled. I had it up and running within 30 minutes of unboxing and ready to do some laser cutting. It features a sturdy metal enclosure, built-in air assist, HD camera, auto-focus, and a spacious 19.7” x 12.6” working area. One of the standout features is its BeamFocus™ technology , which delivers a super-fine 0.08 x 0.08 mm laser spot—perfect for precise engraving.
As these lasers get higher and higher in power, that laser beam gets wider and makes precision engraving harder. It's why people often have an alternate laser head for precision, a 10W for instance. Though this isn't as narrow as a 10W it does mean you don't have to swap heads for art for a lot of projects that just don't call for it.
With 45 watts of optical power and a tightly focused beam, the Vision Pro makes short work of thick materials and handles fine engraving easily. The air assist and exhaust port keep your space smoke-free, and the LiDAR-based auto-focus ensures perfect material alignment every time.
WeCreat took a chance on an innovative design when it came up with the original Vision, with its auto focus and auto leveling features. The Vision Pro comes at us with these same features but with more power and a larger work area.
If you’re upgrading from the original WeCreat Vision (20W or 40W), here’s what you get with the Vision Pro:
More Power: The Vision Pro boasts 45W versus the previous 40W, translating into faster and deeper cuts (WeCreat claims 39% deeper cuts and 43% faster speed).
Smaller Beam Spot: Now at 0.08 x 0.08 mm (down from 0.08 x 0.10 mm), giving even finer engraving details.
Larger Working Area: The Pro has a 23% larger workspace, allowing for bigger patterns or more batch jobs which was one of my main disadvantages when comparing it against the Creality Falcon2 Pro and XTool S1.
Passthrough Support: Much like the original Vision, the Pro also has an optional Auto Feeder, you can process materials up to 137” long, and they will of course be wider with extra width of the Vision Pro vs the original Vision.
Bottom line: If you work with large leather pieces, want deeper cuts, or need better engraving detail, the Vision Pro is a solid upgrade.

The xTool S1 is a popular diode laser with unmatched precision, so naturally it invites comparison.
My thoughts have always been that XTool sets the bar that everyone chases. The XTool S1 doesn't have a camera but is still the most precise laser I've ever used, but with the new LiDAR technology of the Vision Pro it's closed that gap.
The Vision Pro also offers out of the box base level options for cutting and engraving thicker material that the XTool S1 needs a special riser base attachment for along with a bit of fiddling around.
This makes the WeCreat Vision Pro 45W the hands down winner for a ton of thicker projects including rotary engraving. It's ability to make those hassle free is a key selling feature. Here are some other stats that you might find helpful.

The Creality Falcon2 Pro 60W certainly packs a punch, it is one of the most powerful diode lasers on the market, designed for serious makers who need extra muscle, while also being competitively priced.
Some people may appreciate the more square work area of the Falcon2 Pro 60W, but just like the XTool S1 the Creality Falcon2 Pro can't match the leveling features of the WeCreat Vision that allow it to be the hands down winner for ease of use when dealing with Thicker Materials or Rotary Engraving.
The Falcon2 Pro does have a camera, but I've always found it's viewing area within Lightburn mediocre, and its need for a whole second USB cable just for the camera to add another level on unnecessary complexity that WeCreat does with ease.
Though there are WiFi solutions out there, the Falcon2 Pro also does not have WiFi.

Now all of these lasers once they get into the 40W range start to be solid for leathercraft, specifically some of the heavier leather I cut for my armor projects.
Though I loved the original Vision, it lacked the space for me to truly take advantage of it. I do a lot of armor, I need the space to cut large parts, and though I doubt I'm that important I'd like to thing that WeCreat listened to me when it was designing this new WeCreat Vision Pro
So space is no longer an issue!
Thick Leather Cutting: Easily cuts up to 7mm veg-tan leather in one pass.
Detail-Oriented Engraving: Perfect for logos, custom text, and faux tooling effects.
Soft Leather Precision: Handles thin chrome-tan and soft hides beautifully with the right settings.
Clean Edges: Slight charring is expected (typical of any laser), but cleanup is easy.
Lots of Space: Large work area.
I was not given a passthrough system to test, but I can imagine it being ideal for long-form leather projects like belts and shoulder straps. The rotary accessory even makes it possible to engrave around cylindrical leather objects like cuffs or wrapped tumblers
Setup is fast and beginner-friendly. The included software (MakeArt or MakeIt) offers live camera previews and leather-specific presets. It connects easily via Wi-Fi and gets you from design to final cut quickly. If you want more control, LightBurn is fully supported, and yes—the camera integrates once calibrated unlike the original Vision which was a huge deal breaker for some people.
Whether you’re a beginner or a power user, the Vision Pro's intuitive software, auto-focus, and camera alignment reduce errors And save time (and leather).
The initial WeCreat Vision was plagued with a lot of technical issues to do with its added moving parts. There were many support tickets involving the leveling / auto focus system, and an overall lack of support response times because of it being a new company left a lot of people upset.
But even with those issues the Vision took off and flourished and it seems that WeCreat has gotten all of that sorted out with it's upgraded 40W version of the original, and now this new Vision Pro is set to put all of that to rest.
Pricing shows current pricing for base packages, along with any sale price, and doesn't take into account that both the XTool and Falcon2 Pro laser cutters need to be adjusted through a riser base or extension feet to work with thicker materials and rotary attachments.
If you're running a small leather goods business or looking to scale, this machine can quickly pay for itself in saved time and increased consistency.
The Vision Series always shines above the rest in its ability to rise and fall based on material, and auto focus with the same process. This makes it impossible to beat for a lot of projects, especially rotary engraving.
The XTool needs an added riser base, and the Falcon2 Pro needs extra feet. The riser base of the XTool is an alright choice, but the extra feet and awkwardness of the Creality Falcon2 Pro puts it in last place here for sure for rotary and larger items.
Here’s a quick side-by-side breakdown of the pricing and feature options for the top three machines we’ve discussed.
Feature | WeCreat Vision Pro 45W | xTool S1 40W | Creality Falcon2 Pro 60W |

If you're a leathercrafter looking to speed up production, increase precision, and expand your creative options, as laser cutter can be a game changer. The WeCreat Vision Pro 45W is a strong contender that handles thick cuts and delicate engravings alike, supports long materials with its passthrough system, and makes setup easy with its intuitive software and camera preview.
Whether you're using your laser cutter to engrave belts, customizing wallets, or experimenting with mixed materials, the Vision Pro is a versatile workhorse. Compared to the xTool S1 and Falcon2 Pro, it stands out for its ease of use, smart features, and focus on detail and consistency.
In my workshop, it’s already become an essential tool. If you're serious about adding laser power to your leathercraft workflow, this machine is worth a serious look.
