Leather War Belt Pattern 1 - Viking Knotwork
This is my first leather war belt pattern, designed primarily for SCA rattan combat. Also known as a kidney belt, this style of armor wraps around the waist and lower torso, providing coverage for those areas.
I've included my Viking knotwork artwork with the pattern, but you can leave the belt plain or replace it with your own designs.
The pattern needs to be scaled to fit your body, so I'd recommend checking the fit with paper or cardboard before cutting into your leather. Make sure to account for whatever clothing or padding you'll normally wear underneath your armor.
While I designed this for SCA combat, it can also be used for LARP, costume, or fantasy armor builds.
