Leather Vambrace Pattern - Thor's Hammer & Serpent
This is one of my leather vambrace patterns designed specifically for SCA rattan combat. I designed it to give you solid forearm protection without getting overly complicated, and when made from heavy veg-tan and wax hardened it's fairly bomb proof.
The reinforcing pieces add another layer of leather over the areas where you want it and help stiffen the finished vambrace. I've used this style of construction for my own SCA armor for years.
The Thor's Hammer and serpent artwork shown in the photos is included with the pattern, but you can use your own artwork or leave the vambraces plain.
Elbow armor is not included with this pattern and is sold separately.
