Leather Elbow Armor Pattern - Viking Knotwork
These leather elbow cops are part of my SCA armor pattern set and are designed to give you a solid base for building protective leather elbow armor.
The pattern uses a shaped, layered construction that wraps around the elbow while still allowing the arm to move. I've used this style for SCA combat armor, but it can also be used for LARP, costume or other fantasy armor builds depending on the leather and construction you use.
This pattern contains both a single point strapping system, as well as a Y-Strap design.
The Viking / Celtic knotwork shown in the photos is included with the pattern. You can use the supplied artwork, leave the armor plain, or add your own carving, tooling or decoration instead.
