I had 4 young ladies in my workshop and it was their first venture into leatherwork. This pattern worked very well for an introductory to leatherwork class.

This pattern is very user friendly and easy to understand. Has alot of potential for costume if useing thinner leather but is really protective when using heavy leathers that are wax hardened. I used this pattern with 10oz veg tan hardened with beeswax and rivited steel plates for steel fighting, they work very well for full contact

These vambraces are a bit strange in certain ways, but the design is very thought out on many levels.
They are aesthetic despite being rather simplistic, they are very comfortable to wear, the shape fits the arms nicely unlike many other vambraces that cover forearms all around. The reinforcing pads, while unusual and unorthodox (especially since most real life examples are reinforced with metal) really help them keep a slightly flattened, more natural shape, solving the problem of some of the other full leather bracers.

The pattern itself was easy to print and follow even with very little experience.

This was a fun project to do. I’m new and this was the second thing I made. I added the little sling at the bottom as it holds a lightsaber hilt!

I have made several other Dark Horse patterns. This one was quick and easy to make. It took me maybe 2 hours to hand cut and hand stitch. I plan on throwing it on the laser engraver in the next week or so.

All Magnus patterns are great and easy to use! Videos are super helpful, and he is a great guy! Highly recommend!

I am thoroughly enjoying this leather project, the patterns down loaded and printed with no problem and are very well laid out in a logical well though out way that indicates that this was done by a real leather worker that that takes pride in sharing his craft with US muggles.
