Medieval Phone Case Pattern – Leather Belt Book
I designed this medieval-style leather phone case to look like a small leather-bound book, keeping your phone hidden while attending SCA events, Renaissance Faires, and other medieval activities. It also doubles as a small wallet, with space for a few cards and folded bills. The book hangs from your belt with a removable attachment, making it easy to take off when needed.
Since phones are expensive, I wanted to make sure mine was properly protected, so the design incorporates a regular phone case. You'll need to purchase a compatible phone case separately to complete the project.
The pattern includes decorative cover artwork and comes with downloadable PDF and SVG files for printing or laser cutting.

Pattern Dimensions (Height × Width)
Height is measured from the top to the bottom of the book. Width is the full width of the leather body before folding, including both covers and the spine.
These are pattern dimensions, not the maximum phone dimensions.
6.50" H × 7.18" W (165 × 182 mm)
Examples: iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone SE, and other compact smartphones.
6.875" H × 7.59" W (175 × 193 mm)
Examples: Standard iPhones, iPhone Pro models, Samsung Galaxy S series, and standard Google Pixel models.
7.25" H × 8" W (184 × 203 mm)
Examples: Samsung Galaxy Ultra, iPhone Pro Max and Plus models, and Google Pixel Pro XL models.
Tested fit: Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with a protective case installed.
