I scaled up the pattern to make a pouch big enough to hold a large cell phone. The video instructions were very detailed and helpful. I used my Juki TL machine with a teflon foot, leather needle, and Tex 45 thread to sew the pouch. I like that part of it is turned, making for a clean seam. I used a cut work design on some suede to decorate the front flap, and an antler button closure.
Easy to follow Pattern and love how easy they are to customize. I doubled up 8-9 ounce leather for these and wax hardened them as I am using them for SCA Heavy combat.
I did the leaf hair slider - I have no idea what I’m doing, and just wanted to spend some time using the tools and get a little comfortable with them. I was surprised how easy it was to follow the video and the pattern, and super happy with the result
I keep getting errors when printing the PDF that resemble IPR security. Once the print job gets to page 5 (starts at page 8) it starts printing complete color over the patterns and you can't see anything before erroring out completely by page 2 and locks up the computer.
I attempted to email requesting a solution but have not heard after a week.
Just looking for a solution. I have 5 gorgets to make for some folks wanting to start and/or get back into SCA combat.
...but because the pdf is encrypted, I couldn't print it. A wasted purchase, unfortunately. :(
So easy to follow these instructions. I didn't have leather, so instead used pleather. It wasn't as stiff around the corners but otherwise worked in that medium too. I plan to make a true leather one and believe that should be easy enough to follow for that.
the patterns designs are very well made and fit as if they were designed for me. looking foward to other designs.
Hi there. I purchased this pattern and it's my first project involving tooling. It would have been helpful to have the decorative handle design included to just trace but I was able to recreate it off the photo. Anyway, it wasn't much use to me as I wasn't able to make straight lines (no skill, poor quality tools), so I ended up using tooling stamps instead. I still like my improvised version. I also added an extra inner lining-a linen pouch to hide the stitching. I think it came out decent. The video was super helpful. 👌
Fantastic patterns. Easy to follow and understand. Great product. Merchant is great for getting back if you have questions.
I really like this pattern. It was easy to work with. One thing however. I don´t know if I just have massive forearms or if the strap holding the buckle near the elbow is much too short. Either way i had to add one the was about three to four times the length of the original one from the pattern.
I thought this one was going to be complicated
It wasn't at all. Pic is pre-conditioned!
Great tutorial, easy peasy to follow along, clear instructions and super informative! While I love your and appreciate your artwork, I myself am not cut out for drawing/painting. Thank you!
I had a wolf from another art pack and needed the same style Raven. I ended up using the Raven as my center piece on my belt for the Texas Ren Fest. I have used other art packs and patterns in the past and everything prints.
These patterns save me so much time, they have easily paid for themselves. busy armoring myself and my squire (SCA) to meet the new armor standards coming out soon. I've been looking for a decent demi pattern with thumb protection since I picked up centerboss round shield, looks like Ive found my new pattern archive.
At camping events I’m Mr. Fix-It in my LARP group . I made this bag to fit into my existing garb and double as a tool bag. Absolutely love how it hangs on to me and keeps my tools close by. I had to make a few modifications to the pattern to fit my liking but it’s great.
It also won Judges Choice at an Arts and Sciences competition.
Fun build and fits my needs perfectly! Looking forward to the next build.
It's amazing, however, got the wrong size no fault of yours, tried contacting you to change it with no luck. Thank you, I'll be ordering another in the right size, and passing this one on to a friend. I also asked about some custom armor for the sca, never heard back from you, thank you anyways, love your work and appreciate your talent.
Sincerely,
Fenris
Sucks you couldn't get in touch with me, not sure where I missed that. Shirts are done through a T-Shirt supplier so aren't really returnable, they'reall one-offs. Sorry!
