Size: This costrel when flat is 9.4" Tall and 6.6" Wide, when stretched it might be 3" to 4" or so thick.

    Wonderful pattern

    I've been wanting to make a costrel. This pattern was easy to follow and the resulting product is excellent. Many friends had positive comments and admiration for it.

    It was a great pattern! My son love the one I made him.

    The directions on the video and the patterns were very easily understood and followed. The only thing I might suggest adding, are some tips about getting the plug for the neck of the bottle to fit tightly.

    I made both styles of the leather canteen included in the patterns. Patterns are easy and straight forward. Fun project. All of the Dark Horse patterns I have tried have been excellent! I did use my machine to sew these, but hand stitching these would not have been an issue!
