Leather Demi Gauntlet Pattern - Viking Knotwork
These leather demi gauntlets are part of my SCA armor pattern set and are designed to protect the back of the hand and wrist while leaving the fingers free.
I've used this style of leather armor for SCA combat, but the pattern can also be used for LARP, costume or other fantasy armor builds depending on how you make them and the leather you use.
The Viking and Celtic knotwork shown in the photos is included with the pattern. You can use the supplied artwork, leave them plain, or add your own carving and tooling instead.
A full video tutorial is included showing you how I make and assemble them.
