I learned some new techniques with this one to use in my other sporrans

These patterns save me so much time, they have easily paid for themselves. busy armoring myself and my squire (SCA) to meet the new armor standards coming out soon. I've been looking for a decent demi pattern with thumb protection since I picked up centerboss round shield, looks like Ive found my new pattern archive.

At camping events I’m Mr. Fix-It in my LARP group . I made this bag to fit into my existing garb and double as a tool bag. Absolutely love how it hangs on to me and keeps my tools close by. I had to make a few modifications to the pattern to fit my liking but it’s great.

It also won Judges Choice at an Arts and Sciences competition.

Fun build and fits my needs perfectly! Looking forward to the next build.

I can’t say enough about this pattern. The plans were very detailed and easy to follow. If you get stuck just watch the YouTube video as it is quite helpful.
The pattern comes with the knot work design as well, though I went a different direction. I’m fairly seasoned in leatherworking but this is a pretty good project for a person of moderate skill or even a beginner with the help of the plans and video. Been a fan of the channel for a few years now and I can’t say enough good things about Magnus and the work he does.

I had recently purchased a fun pebble grain pull up side & was anxious to find a fun project to use it with. As soon as I ran across Magnus’ creative satchel pattern I knew it was an instant winner. Having only started my leather crafting in April of this year I was excited at the amount of saddle stitching practice this satchel would provide.
To date I have yet to work with a pattern or design from Magnus that isn’t user friendly, and that isn’t even mentioning the support available through the Patreon community or his YouTube presence.
With my first step into bag making I opted to tool the Yggdrasil artwork from the Shoulder Spaulder pattern (if you haven’t checked out the Dark Horse armor patterns yet, you absolutely should!).

Overall I am excited for my end result and more importantly for the shared creativity of this creator & his community as I practice my craft. I will be sporting my first bag, and it’s, character with pride.

I have not yet made this pouch. The patterns are clear and easy to layout. The companion video on you tube does give me some confusion. I will watch it again before I assemble the pouch.

It works Exactly as described.

Its a great a great pattern producing a practical build with style and detail. It could use some example images of the final product from one or more perspectives to provide more context. Could also include a L and R to the patter for simplicity and instructions on attaching forearm and elbow would be good too.

Well thought out, and was easily modified to be a belt pouch. Even taking my time, it took just a little over an hour to make.
